While we aim to maintain a consistent stock of all products, restocking may occasionally take a few weeks due to fluctuating demand and material availability. Additionally, our candles require a two-week curing period to fully develop their scent, which may further delay restocking during periods of high demand.

Craftsmanship & Ingredients
-
Each candle is crafted as an offering, infused with myth, memory, and meaning. We create an immersive, sensory ritual with:
Signature scent blends inspired by ancient mythologies, timeless archetypes, and wild landscapes.
Crackling wood wicks that mimic the soothing sound of a hearth fire.
Amber and glass vessels chosen for their ability to cast a warm, magical glow.
Eco-conscious ingredients, including sustainably sourced waxes and clean, phthalate-free fragrances.
A multi-sensory experience that invites you into the stories we carry and the sacred spaces we create.
-
We prioritize your health and safety by crafting the cleanest burning candles possible.
Our luxurious Coconut-Apricot Cream wax is vegan, gluten-free, toxin-free, paraben-free, and phthalate-free, sourced from renewable materials. It includes a minute amount of food-grade paraffin wax to enhance performance and provide an excellent hot throw. The highly refined, food-grade quality of our paraffin places it in the natural category, and no candle wax has been shown to be harmful to human health, including paraffin. We strive to maintain natural purity, which is why we do not use colored dyes in our wax.
Our premium clean scent blends are also phthalate-free and exclude all materials listed as hazardous under California’s Prop 65 regulations.
-
Many candles on the market use paraffin or paraffin blends, which are derived from petroleum as a byproduct of the refining process. While paraffin is inexpensive and offers a strong scent throw, it raises concerns for those seeking a cleaner burn.
At Hekate’s Flame, we use a premium coconut-apricot crème wax that is ethically sourced, clean-burning, and made from renewable materials, allowing us to offer candles that align with both quality and conscious craftsmanship.
-
A candle’s fragrance unfolds in three layers: top notes, heart notes, and base notes.
The top notes are the first scents you notice when the candle is unlit or just lit, bright and fleeting.
As the wax warms and the burn continues, the heart notes emerge, forming the core character of the fragrance.
Once a full melt pool is reached, the base notes anchor the scent with depth and warmth, lingering longest in the air.
The true personality of a candle comes alive in the blend of its heart and base notes.
Please visit this blog post for more information on Scent Profiles, Top, Heart, and Base Notes.

We love wood wicks for their subtle, comforting crackle, like a miniature hearth fire.
Ours are organically sourced from FSC-certified mills in the USA, and are non-toxic, eco-friendly, and all-natural. They create a beautiful ambiance and add a multi-sensory layer to the experience of our candles.
Candle Care & Use
-
You should trim the wick to 1/8 to 1/4 inch before each use of your candle.
If you don’t, problems can occur. The wicks can build up soot that leads to excessive flickering and/or smoke.
Keeping it trimmed makes your candles safer. You can use wick trimmers or a nail clipper to trim.
-
Always extinguish a candle if the flame gets too close to the candle holder or container. As a safety precaution, discontinue burning a candle when ½ inch of wax remains. At this point, you can clean out your jar and reuse it for storage or decoration!
-
To prevent discoloration or fading, avoid exposing your candles to intense light for extended periods. We do not recommend displaying them in direct sunlight, under fluorescent lights, or in other strong illumination. Wax can soften in temperatures over 80 degrees Fahrenheit, so it’s best to store your candles in a cool, dry place if they will be kept for an extended time.
-
We encourage reusing your vessel once your candle has finished burning. Here are two effective ways to remove leftover wax:
Option 1: The Freezer Method (No Heat Required)
Freeze Overnight: Place the candle in the freezer overnight without the lid.
Loosen Wax: In the morning, use a butter knife to gently score an “X” into the surface of the wax. It should pop out or loosen easily from the sides.
Clean Out: Remove as much wax as possible. Wipe any residue with a paper towel, then finish with rubbing alcohol.
Final Touch: Wash with warm, soapy water—just be sure no wax goes down the sink.
Dispose Responsibly: Discard wax in the trash, never the drain.
Option 2: The Oven Method (For Stubborn Wax)
Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 200–215°F (93–102°C).
Prepare Tray: Line a baking sheet with several layers of aluminum foil to protect against melted wax seeping through.
Melt Wax: Place the vessel upside-down on the foil and let it sit in the oven for about 15 minutes, or until the wax melts out.
Wipe Clean: Carefully remove the vessel using heat-safe gloves. Wipe the inside with a paper towel while it’s still warm, then follow with rubbing alcohol.
Final Wash: Once cool, wash with warm, soapy water—again, keeping wax out of your sink.
Choose the method that works best for you. A clean vessel is ready for whatever magic you’d like to pour into it next.
